Smoke Blankets Industrial Yard as Firefighters and Soldiers Respond to Blaze
Breaking news. Details are based solely on what is visible in a live-stream recording and will be updated as information is confirmed.
A fire is burning reported at an industrial site, and live-stream footage shows thick smoke, fire crews and uniformed soldiers at the scene.
The footage was broadcast live by an account named "DondoBa Ghana" and recorded on Thursday, October 1, 2026 this afternoon.
Heavy smoke across the yard
Dense grey smoke hangs across the compound for the entire recording. At times it nearly blots out the sky and buildings. In several shots the camera moves through a yard where visibility is badly reduced.
Emergency response on scene
A red Volvo fire truck is parked in the compound, and in another shot a emergency vehicle with flashing blue lights is visible through the smoke. Firefighters in dark protective gear are present, including one wearing a yellow helmet and a face covering. Hoses run across the ground in the yard.
Men in camouflage uniforms stand in groups near the site and appear to be monitoring the area. A viewer comment in the live chat also refers to soldiers being around.
What the site contains
The camera shows large black plastic water storage tanks, stacked white sacks, a yellow forklift, parked motorbikes, and a high-walled building with a large doorway. Large stacks of goods are visible in the smoke-filled areas.
Workers and onlookers
A number of men, some in face masks, gather in the compound. Some wear work clothes and appear to be workers or bystanders. At one point a man in a blue shirt and a mask walks past the camera, and in another shot a person walks toward the fire truck.
What is not yet confirmed
The footage does not establish the following, and any report should attribute these to official or eyewitness sources:
The exact location of the fire
The names of the businesses affected, or how many were destroyed
The cause of the fire
Any injuries or deaths
